Hi Everyone

Lynton and Greg, both of Moonta Bay on SA's Yorke Peninsula, will be participating in the Spring Shitbox Rally 2027 in the trusty Ford Wagon “Old Man Emu” (its 4th Rally) and will be leaving from Albury Wodonga in August 2027 to Mackay via Cameron Corner

We raised $14,000 this year (2026) and will be trying to better this in this Rally

We will have our Sponsors logo's on our car, which we have appreciated their past support.

The drive is not just about the journey, but also about the journey that a lot of cancer sufferers have had to endure in their lives.

Both Lynton and Greg have lost people close to them from this disease and they wanted to do something about making a real difference in the fight against cancer.

Every team is required to raise a minimum of $5,000, with every dollar raised going directly to the Cancer Council, and helps fund vital cancer research, which is why we're doing everything to hit our goal.

Lynton and Greg will be looking forward to your support by way of sponsorship, donations, and fundraisers, big or small, will have a real impact.

ALBURY-WODONGA MACKAY 3,400 km in a $1,500 car OLD MAN EMUS

Old Man Emus are driving a $1,500 car from Albury-Wodonga to Mackay to raise money for Cancer Council

They're doing what!?

Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.

Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.

The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.

And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.

This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
